My mission is to help
military, veterans and their families through the challenges of transitioning from active military service back to civilian life, and beyond.
Rita has worked with youths, active duty military, veterans, homeless population, mentally ill since 1984. She has held positions within the field of behavioral science and special education. She also spent 27 years working and volunteering her service to the military and their families in Europe and the US as an outreach worker.

She is a retired military wife who received the Mary E. Walker Award for her outstanding military spouse dedication and exemplary volunteerism, which improved the quality of life for soldiers and their families.

She is very involved in issues affecting students, runaways, homeless, veterans and underserved communities. She attended Howard University, graduated from the University of Southern California, California Coast University and Walden University with multiple degrees in Psychology. During her spare time, Rita enjoys spending quality time with family and friends, reading fictional, music, karaoke, and cooking.

Her passion is to work with students with special needs,  homeless runaways, abused children and youths, to utilize their strengths and the support of their families and communities to help ensure a stable and successful home.
